Medical Disclaimer

Please read carefully. This page explains what Telehealth Guide is — and what it is not.

In an emergency

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care. If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the U.S.).

Telehealth Guide is an informational and decision-support service. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or medical services, and information on this website should not be used as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Provider matches, search results, comparisons, and other tools are intended only to help users explore telehealth providers and services included in the Telehealth Guide database based on available and verified provider information. Results are informational matches, not medical recommendations, and do not represent all healthcare providers or treatment options that may be available to you.

Provider inclusion is not endorsement. The absence of an emergency warning from any Telehealth Guide tool does not mean Telehealth Guide has determined your condition is safe, non-emergency, or appropriate for telehealth.

Always consult an appropriate qualified healthcare professional regarding medical symptoms, conditions, diagnoses, or treatment decisions. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.

What Telehealth Guide is not

  • Telehealth Guide is not a healthcare provider.
  • Telehealth Guide does not diagnose medical conditions.
  • Telehealth Guide does not provide treatment or medical services.
  • Telehealth Guide is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Telehealth Guide does not determine whether a user is medically appropriate for telehealth.
  • Telehealth Guide does not represent every healthcare provider or treatment option available to you.

What Find the Right Kind of Care does

The Find the Right Kind of Care tool (also reachable at /find-care) helps users describe what they'd like help with, in ordinary language, and surfaces telehealth providers included on Telehealth Guide whose public information indicates they may offer that type of care. It is a navigation aid, not a symptom checker, triage system, or diagnostic tool.

For a small set of clearly-worded emergency descriptions, the tool intentionally stops routing and displays urgent-care guidance (call 911, or call or text 988 in the case of a mental-health crisis). The absence of that warning for any given search does not mean the situation is safe.

Independence & affiliate links

Telehealth Guide may earn a commission if you use certain provider links. This does not affect how providers are compared, matched, ranked, or included in search results. See our Affiliate & advertising disclosure for details.

Telehealth Guide is a trade name of MR. RESURFACE, LLC.
